The secretariat of the National Commission on Sustainable Development, the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the National Nutrition Council awarded the best sustainable development commitments of 2022. The award criteria state that Senate is actively involved in the implementation both of emission-free worksites and green deals for sustainable demolition. These are voluntary agreements to which Senate has been committed since 2020.
Other recipients of the award were Southwest Häme educational federation of municipalities (LHKK), Päijät-Hämeen Ateriapalvelut Oy, Monetra Oy, Arla, Yhteishyvä and If Insurance.
The Secretary-General of the National Commission on Sustainable Development said that this year’s winners represent social impact in the field of sustainable development and contribute to the transition to social, ecological and economic sustainability.
