Senate Properties is selling the administrative building located in Hakaniemi, Helsinki. The building, designed by architect Kaj Salenius, was completed in 1975 for administrative use and underwent a complete renovation in 2008. The gross floor area of the building is approximately 23,000 m2.
The property for sale is situated at Hakaniemenranta 6, right next to the center of Helsinki. Hakaniemi Square and Hakaniemi Market Hall form the commercial and functional heart of the area. The surroundings of the square include various grocery stores, restaurants, specialty shops, hotel operations, cultural and sports services, and other amenities.
The lot is designated as an administrative and office building area in the current zoning plan. A zoning plan change to an office area is underway.
Hakaniemi area is undergoing significant development in the 2020s. Plans include creating a new public waterfront and densifying the urban structure through infill construction, further enhancing the area’s services. A new bridge connection will strengthen the area’s role as a public transportation hub.
