Kallanranta Campus in Kuopio

The government agency building in Kuopio serves as the centre of local government and provides a wide range of facilities and services for public administration actors.

In Kuopio, work is underway on developing the Kallanranta block to create shared work environments and a shared service point for central government actors in two buildings. The first phase of the redevelopment has been completed to schedule and the premises were brought into use in August 2024. The Kallanranta redevelopment will complete in its entirety in the second half of 2026, when most of Kuopio’s central government actors will be located on the Kallanranta Campus.

Kallanranta is currently home to the Digital and Population Data Services Agency, Business Finland, Finnvera plc, the Public Guardianship office, Metsähallitus, the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment (ELY) for North Savo, Defence Properties Finland, Pelimies Kallanranta, Senate Properties and the Arts Promotion Centre Finland.
